Industrial Placements

Your first introduction to Bouygues UK could be on one of our work placements. We offer the opportunity for construction management and civil engineering degree students to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of major construction projects. Students could be involved in construction management on site, or in pre-construction in a bid or design team or the company's technical department.
Business students can also carry out work placements in our support functions such as Finance, Management Account, Purchasing, or HR.

Placements range from 3 months to 1 year.

Summer placement (preferably 3 months)

A summer placement represents the opportunity to have an insight into the world of work through a better understanding of the industry during your university holidays. As a trainee you'll work as an integral part of a project team, with the chance to work on site and gain experience of working directly with clients and contractors.
Bouygues offers a wide variety of technical trainee opportunities, allowing you to acquire a practical knowledge to complement the theoretical knowledge gained at university.

Students must be in at least their second year of university

Industrial placement (9-14 months)

If you want to get a head start in your career, then our industrial placements are what you are looking for. They're the ideal opportunity to gain valuable work experience. During your year with us you'll be able to sample the culture and working life in a company. You'll have an insight into careers enabling you to make informed choices. To complement your learning, you'll have an overview of projects and scheduling whilst liaising with the clients, the subcontractors and managing tenders.
This sandwich year would add value to your CV and demonstrate an experience of the world of work.

Generally this will be in your third year of university

Sponsorship

If you have completed a successful summer or industrial placement you could be entitled to sponsorship in your final year with the aim of joining Bouygues after graduation.
