Accreditations

Our commitment to sustainable design and our passion for innovation is well recognised, and we are proud that our project teams consistently receive awards for ethical and considerate construction practices. Above all, our awards showcase our dedication to excellence in every aspect of building.

Awards in 2011

We have recently received our recertification for our Quality, Environmental and Safety Management System standards to include: ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

Of the 8,500 sites registered in the Considerate Constructors Scheme, only 3.5% receive national awards. We are proud to have received three awards during 2011: our teams at North Middlesex University Hospital and Broomfield Hospital were awarded bronze, and St Paul’s Way Trust School in Tower Hamlets was awarded silver.

In 2011 we were awarded six RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) Gold Awards for Occupational Health & Safety. These awards identify companies which are committed to excellence in health and safety and have robust policies, dynamic procedures and an improving performance at a recognised level. Our awards were for six projects: Tower Hamlets Building Schools for the Future (BSF), Waltham Forest BSF, Westminster BSF, Brent Social Housing & Regeneration PFI and North Middlesex University Hospital, and a corporate award.

We have also been awarded the BCSE (British Council for School Environment) Industry Award for Excellence in Design for Teaching and Learning: Refurbishment (Large Scale Projects), for our work in partnership with Architecture PLB on Walthamstow School for Girls.  The BCSE is one of the UK’s leading charities in education, design and construction, with a membership made up of schools, local authorities and private companies, all of whom are involved in designing, building and transforming schools, colleges and other learning environments.

Our high standards of construction and workmanship were further recognised at the LABC/LDSA 2011 Building Excellence Awards, where our Pimlico Academy project won Best Community Project, and at the Partnerships Bulletin Awards, where our work on North Middlesex University Hospital has been shortlisted.

Also in 2011 we received a commendation in the Best Education Builder of the Year category at the Education Investor Awards; Bouygues UK’s Home Office has been shortlisted by the London Planning Awards in the ‘Best Built Project – 5 years on’ category and Edinburgh Primary School in Waltham Forest, which was built by Bouygues UK and designed by HLM Architects, has won Best Community / Education Scheme at the Waltham Forest Design Awards.
