The Edinburgh Primary School and Adult Centre

Our Edinburgh Primary School and Adult Centre scheme, sited on Queens Road in Walthamstow, London, saw us deliver a modern facility to replace the existing Edinburgh Primary School.

In conjunction with the school, we also delivered the Adult Centre, a new set of facilities for the London Borough of Waltham Forest Community Learning and Skills Service (CLASS).

To honour the former school building’s illustrious 104-year history, it was vital that the new purpose-built facility truly lived up to its design vision, increasing the school’s capacity and greatly enhancing its capabilities.

We delivered an inspiring, state-of-the-art teaching and learning environment for children and adults. The building acts as a local centre for learning, with key facilities used by the community. Teaching spaces are fully inclusive, functionally operational, secure and protected.

The facilities incorporate a primary school for 630 pupils, a refurbished nursery block, an adult education facility for 200 learners, and sports and main hall facilities available for use by the school, CLASS, and the local community.
