The implementation of a new construction process named INOVPAC across all Bouygues subsidiaries in 2010.

What is Inovpac?

INOVPAC is a process that involves all the departments of the company in order to industrialise construction of housing projects:

  • By integrating finished (or part-finished) products on sites
  • By anticipating logistical issues
  • By reducing waste and developing selective sorting
  • By limiting co-activity on site thanks to sequential scheduling
  • By using time and motion studies on site
  • By using own production  for specific tasks
  • By delivering defect free buildings at handover
  • By using low maintenance products
  • By capitalising on and promoting good practices and method.

INOVPAC introduces significant changes in the organisation of construction.

It is a new ‘schedule based’ process based on sequential tasks and divided into two main phases. A formal handover is done between each task.

In Phase 1 there are two sequences.  During sequence 1a concrete and other structural works, water proofing, vertical mechanical and electrical networks, and insulation are carried out. Sequence 1b is the cladding of the facades and external works.

Finally, Phase 2 includes all internal decorative works to handover.

There are many advantages of this system which enables efficiency, higher productivity and smooth coordination of activities. INOVPAC brings an even better quality to the building’s construction.
