Read MoreThis turnkey project for a 37,000m² luxury hotel complex on a 3.3 hectare site within the ramparts of Marrakech was built by our parent company Bouygues Batiment International.
The hotel predominantly serves leisure clientele from the Middle East and Europe looking for tranquillity, seclusion and high-end luxury.
The complex comprises 53 riads, or typical Moroccan houses, laid out over three levels in a design format which replicates the narrow alleys of the Moroccan medina. Most riads have two or three bedrooms, with luxurious finishing and facilities including private roof terraces and swimming pools. A state-of-the-art spa, generous lobby and three restaurants complete the complex.
Design detail serves to enhance the exceptional quality of the hotel, with modern facilities complemented by intricate Moroccan finishings, such as hand-sculpted patterning on cedar wood corridor ceilings. In the welcoming central courtyard and lobby area, floors are laid with glazed tiles hand-crafted in Fez, the walls adorned with zellij mosaics and fine carved plasterwork.
The site is enclosed by monumental walls and gates similar to the ramparts of Marrakech. In contrast to the vibrant and lively city outside, landscaping within the complex evokes a sense of calm, with lush and fragrant Andalusian-style gardens and elaborate mosaic water features.
