The Bouygues Group has created an Ethics and Sponsorship Committee responsible for ensuring Group values and codes of conduct are respected, and for providing a focus in regards to the different events for which Bouygues’ sponsorship is solicited.
Bouygues plays an active part in the economic and social development of each region in which it operates, through economic action, support for social activities and medical, humanitarian and social sponsorship initiatives. In the UK initiatives include:
- “Kids as Designers” at Eastbury Comprehensive School
- setting the curriculum at Jo Richardson Community School, supporting the teachers in presenting the pupils the benefits of secondary vocational studies. This has led to a new GCSE course in Built Environment.
- charitable support for Health Unlimited
- support of client charities such as The Mulberry Centre cancer unit at West Middlesex University Hospital
- initiatives tied to current projects such as SK8TOPIA, the wheel park at Jo Richardson Community School, Dagenham
- sponsorships to achieve specialist college status
- support the Lord Mayor of Westminster charity (2006: Westminster MIND)
For almost 20 years, the Bouygues group has been committed to providing corporate support for humanitarian, social and cultural initiatives as well as sponsoring sports events.
The Group primarily provides support for humanitarian, medical and social initiatives and for arts and culture, whereby precedence is given to proposals submitted by employees. The major subsidiaries pursue their own social investment policy.
