It has been a busy week for Bouygues Construction in the UK. We have been breaking the bias every day of this week to support International Women’s Day.
Our Social Value team has been busy getting involved in events, from Women into Construction‘s Celebration Fair to the Central District Alliance‘s Women’s Day event in partnership with Dress for Success Greater London, aimed at women from the London Boroughs of Camden and Islington.
Site Managers, Sofia Noor and Celine Kayrouz sat down with Girls Under Construction to share their stories about being a woman in the construction industry. These young professionals are such inspirational, hard-working women. You can find out more about Sofia’s journey here or Celine’s story here.
It was the second year of our Girls Believe Academy’s Design Your Future programme, where volunteers from across the business spent the week visiting 11different schools across the country sharing their own stories and knowledge to encourage more girls to consider a career in construction and engineering.
Inspiring tomorrow’s talent is crucial if we are to break the bias and create a more gender equal world for our next generation.
