Supporting our client’s staff engagement
We know that successful projects extend far beyond construction timelines and budgets. A key factor in their success is ensuring that the people who will work in a new building feel informed, engaged, and prepared for the change ahead.

In July, more than 100 staff and students from Moorfields Eye Hospital, the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, Moorfields Eye Charity, and Friends of Moorfields visited Moorfields and UCL Centre for Eye Health for the first time. Attendees were able to visit levels 5 and 6 of the new centre and speak to programme leads about how the centre has been designed.

The visit, co-ordinated by our site team, gave attendees an opportunity to hear more about the new clinical, research, and education areas they’ll be working and studying in when the centre opens next year. Visitors were also able to enjoy the panoramic views of the London skyline from the staff roof terrace on level 6.
Beyond the tour, attendees learned about relocation plans and the support structures we have helped the client team put in place to help their teams navigate this significant transition.
“Engaging staff regularly throughout a major relocation is crucial to project success. By giving teams the chance to see and understand the spaces they’ll be working in, we build confidence and ownership in the project. Our role is to be genuine partners in that journey.”
Eric Pincemin, Project Director
Our partnership with Moorfields and UCL Centre for Eye Health is a perfect example of how we work: listening to end users, involving them in design decisions, and building support structures that make major transitions smoother. That’s the difference between delivering a project and delivering a building that people are excited to walk into.
